Acoustic walls provide an increased noise reduction of airborne noise from machinery compared to an existing wall. They also provide sound absorption in areas where reflected sound is a problem. The walls can be fitted into any existing hole, or a complete new wall can be installed. Panel type walls allow for dismantling whenever required.

Construction

Walls are generally manufactured from galvanised mild steel sheeting, adequately stiffened, and fitted with a sound absorbing material on the side facing the noise source. Panels can be bolted in or hinged for access during maintenance. Inspection windows can be fitted as required. Structural design computations can be provided to ensure high wind loads are not a problem.
